Road Safety

Road Safety is a game in virtual reality, which is designed to educate kids in taking safe routes home. This is achieved by simulating a busy town with a lot of hazards in a virtual environment. The player is shown a map of where they are and where they need to get home, and there are multiple different routes that they can take to get home safely. Also, the cars that are driving around can take multiple different routes to make it more difficult.

Once the player is in the game the only tool that they will have access to is watch on their arm, the purpose of this is that the watch will slowly fill up when they make a mistake, an example of this could be walking on the road when it is unsafe to do so. If the watches bar fills up completely red it will stop the game and ask the child to retry as they were not being safe enough.

As the player begins to navigate the environment, they will notice that there are zebra crossings and pedestrian crossings which will allow them to safely cross the busy roads! Every time they manage to safely cross the road, they will be awarded points which are displayed on-screen once they have won or lost the game.
